Kendra is frist of its kind in the world. Guru Pratap is awarded conferred citation of Braj Vibhuti by important institute of Braj and vishishtha sewa by bal vikas Manch, Vrindaban Mathura. The institute has a special status in the history of Vrindaban , Mathura, Agra and Uttar Pradesh for odissi dance teaching . Guru Pratap is a frist Guru to established himself in U.P.and responsible for the growing popularity of odissi in Uttar Pradesh. For his significant contribution to the field he received the Kala Bhushan Award by Lalit Kala Sansthan Dr. B.R.Ambedkar University, Agra. Among the people who worked sincerely for revival of odissi dances Guru Pratap is one of them. He is response full for creation of a number of new items based on soor, Meera , Tulsi,Seami,Haridas, Hit Harivansh etc. hindi poets in odissi style .our institution does dance as a sincere service in the Braj Temples as a rituals of Lord Krishna . For our significant contribution in the field of Odissi dance our institution received so many awards at Braj Mandal.
The Kendra is at presents, imparting sincere training to the students under the direct supervision & guidance of Guru Pratap Chandra and Smt kumalata . The Kendra has also an accomplished performing unit which presents innovative solo & Group odissi recitals as well as demonstrations & workshops for communities, schools and various cultural Groups.
