An accomplished dancer Smt. Kunj Lata born on 15.04.1982,jajpur (Odissa) in vaishnav mishra brahmin family. She started her dance training at the age on 9.She joined Vanshi Vilash Bhubaneswar where she learned odissi dance under a renowned Guru Shri Pitamber Vishwal.and Guru Shri Durga ranbir.She did her first class first Nritayalankar in odissi dance from Gandherve Mandal Vidhyalayay, Mumbai

A budding dancer sprouting from childhood she always stood first. She did her M.Mus. odissi dance first class from utkal Sangeet Maha Vidhyalayay under utkal University of Culture Bhubaneswar. Dr. Vidut Kumari Chaudhary H.O.D. cum principal was her Guru.

She did her M.Phill Odissi dance first class under a legendary Odissi dance Guru Shri Hare Krishna Behera & Dr.Chitra Lekha Singh D.lit. Director Lalit Kala sansthan Dr. B.R.A.University,Agra
She has a challenging responsible position in the field of classical odissi dance & music .She has a creative genius who accepts the tradition & creates something new which is followed by her students. Her style is extremely graceful & lyrical following the style of Guru Debuprasad and she creates a style of its own.
She has enriched Odissi by her new compositions. A number of dance dramas in odissi style based on hindi poets like sur,meera,tulsi,kabir,swami Haridas, Hit Harivanshn have been composed by her at Vrindavan Distt.Mathura after her marriage. For her illustrious sincere work and contribution in the field of dance,teaching, she is awarded with :KALA BHUSHAN" degree in classical dance by Dr.B.R.A. University,Agra
As a talented odissi disciple she got National H.R.D Scholarship for her significant contribution she has been nonoured by cultural Institutions of India.Her rare talent ,brilliant performances, sincere devotion & dedication has brought special honour to odissi in U.P.
